Director of Security and Training

Troy began his undergraduate studies at Clayton State College while working as a store detective for the JC Penney’s Company. He later received his Associate of Arts degree in the field of Criminal Justice.  Troy’s managerial experience began in the jewelry business where he held numerous duties and responsibilities.  Troy joined Macy's as a supervisor for the Security department within the south region. He moved through the ranks of Store investigator, Assistant Security Manager, Senior Security Manager, and then District Security Manager. Troy managed several different markets in the company including Georgia, New Orleans, Florida, Virginia, and Maryland, as well as the entire security operations of the historic downtown Atlanta Macys store on Peachtree Street, where he supervised the reconstruction and development of the remodeled building.  He established and maintained key partnerships with downtown law enforcement, the Mayor’s office, and the numerous business districts. Following this, he served as the Security Manger for the Macys flagship store, Lenox Square, where he also supervised a Task Force of detectives to assist stores that were being targeted with increased criminal activity.  Troy worked with Macys special events personnel to ensure that all celebrities, entertainers, and professional athletes had protection during company sponsored events, working closely with star Athletes and the media during Super bowl Game promotions in New Orleans and Atlanta. Troy effectively served Macy's for 17 years. He was the recipient of numerous awards and recognition for his contributions and accomplishments.

During his tenure with Macys, Troy became very proficient in Alarm System Installation, Burglar & Fire Alarm Protection, Camera Installation & Surveillance, Secure Lock Devices, Safety Protection and Investigations. Troy then joined The National Task Force with TJX, Inc as an Organized Retail Crime Investigator (ORC) where he conducted mobile, stationary, and remote surveillance tactics to resolve organized theft cases in Southeast Market. Before joining Strickland Security and Safety Solutions, he spent three years with the Lowe’s Home Improvement Asset Protection team driving a Safety and Shrink culture, leverage exception-based reports to drive internal case identification, and drive inventory management and trend accuracy.

•    Certified with Wicklander and Zulawski interviewing and interrogation
•    Certified-The Reid Technique of Interviewing and Interrogation

•    First Aid/CPR certified
