ROB STRICKLAND
President
Rob Strickland is the Founder & President of Strickland Security & Safety Solutions, LLC., an Atlanta based security & private investigation firm which provides nationwide services. After receiving numerous athletic scholarships to play collegiate football, Rob Strickland elected to attend North Carolina A & T State University where he starred as an all-conference linebacker. He completed his undergraduate studies and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. He played professional football for a short time and finished his career with the New York Jets. Rob joined Macy’s (the largest retail store in the world) Security department at Herald Square on 34th street in New York City. He moved through the ranks of Store Investigator, Assistant Security Manager, Senior Security Manager, District Security Manager, and Regional Director of Investigations and Regional Vice President of Security. Rob also managed several different markets within the organization including Florida, Georgia, Baltimore, New York, Washington, New Orleans, New Jersey, Alabama, South Carolina and Puerto Rico. His responsibility included managing the most “high-profile” events including; The Macys Thanksgiving Day Parade, The Macys 4th of July Fireworks, the Centennial Olympics & the Lighting of The Great Tree at Lenox Square. He has provided security protection for numerous celebrities, entertainers and athletes. He was also responsible for the complete Security supervision of Macys first off shore store in San Juan Puerto Rico. During his tenure with Macys, Rob became very proficient in Alarm System Installation, Burglar & Fire Alarm Protection, Camera Installation & Surveillance, Secure Lock Devices, Safety Protection and Investigations.
He was also the recipient of countless awards and recognition for his contributions, service and accomplishments. He successfully served the Macys Company for over 22 years and protected billions of dollars’ worth of assets, millions of customers and thousands of employees. With over 2 decades of security service, emerged Strickland Security. The mission was to provide the best protection for their customers and their assets. A few of his customers include: Macy’s, Bloomingdales, Saks Fifth Avenue, Shane Company, Jared Jewelry stores, Walmart, Cracker Barrel restaurants, Burger King and Marriott Hotels. Rob continues to prove that he is a force to be reckoned with in the security & safety industry. His business has received countless awards and honors from some of the leading law enforcement agencies in the country; the FBI, the Secret Service, U.S. Department of Homeland Security and Georgia Board of Private Detectives and Security Agencies. He and his team have also provided security services for well-known celebrities, entertainers and professional athletes.
Rob actively supports initiatives that aim to improve security and safety for everyone; most so he created an app. This app provides a fast and accurate communication between active users and law enforcement. GuardLink quickly reacts by providing users with facial recognition and voice broadcasts capabilities to stop and prevent criminal activity as it occurs. The software application delivers vital information within seconds in real time to people, businesses and law enforcement. Rob’s love for children and passion to help them build their character led him to write a children’s book called, “The Adventures of Sticky Paws the Raccoon®, the Shiny Medal, Honesty is the Best Policy." This rambunctious raccoon was created to capture a younger audience & educate our children on the importance of ethics, integrity and morals.
